Southwest Waterfront

Southwest Waterfront

The District will lease over 500,000 square feet of office space in the soon to be constructed office complex above the Waterfront-Southeastern Metro station.

The office buildings will be home to over 1,600 District employees and consolidate the offices of various agencies, including the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Planning, and the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.

The project is the District's first transaction with a private developer for LEED silver certified buildings.  LEED is a third-party certification program established by U.S. Green Building Council which serves as a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
