The Workplace Design Guidelines were developed to provide agencies, planners, space programmers and designers a reference guide and toolkit for creating a high performance workplace. The Guidelines standardize the materials and furnishings that can be used in District office buildings and creates a recognizable “brand” across city agencies.
The District Facilities Plan provides an overview of all District of Columbia owned and leased space except for schools, libraries, residential properties and right-of-way. The Plan describes in detail the strategic priorities and vision that guide space utilization for office, industrial and special use space, and includes a five year program incorporating current projects and expected future projects.

The Project Delivery Manual standardizes procedures and details all phases of a construction project, from project initiation, planning and design through actual construction and final contract closeout. The manual is used with the Project Management Information System, a comprehensive web-based database that monitors and tracks all capital construction projects.
The LEED Certification Guidebook assists District government project managers in complying with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards and achieving the highest LEED certification possible. Compliance is required under the District’s Green Building Act.
